Josh Lief is singer-songwriter, guitar player based in Richmond, VA. Josh has released two albums of original music. Those albums are “Redemption” and "Love In Disguise." Both were recorded at Montrose Recording in Richmond, VA. They are available at CDBaby.com, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, etc.
The single from the Redemption, Five Forks Woods, got airplay on over 100 radio stations and is still in rotation around the world. The title track from Love In Disguise was placed on several curated playlists and also continues to receive airplay. Josh released a music video for the song Love In Disguise that is available on YouTube (and you can see it here). Both albums got many positive reviews, and some of those are excerpted in the press section of the site.
Josh plays with JLB (the Josh Lief Band) that gigs throughout Virginia and beyond. The band includes Josh on guitar/vox, Tommy Dacat on bass/vox and Andre LaBelle on drums. JLB combines Josh's original music with classic and southern rock, blue and some country. In addition to full band gigs, JLB plays acoustic shows often as a guitar-drum duo.
Josh started playing guitar when he was 6 years old. His style is a mixture of the all the music he loved as a young musician. His influences started with his big three of Hendrix, Clapton, and Page. He also learned a lot of country blues style lead guitar from being a huge fan of the Allman Brothers and ZZ Top.
Bassist Tommy Dacat is a veteran of several successful bands in the Richmond area. Drummer Andre LaBelle worked in Los Angeles as a session player for over ten years with artists such as KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent, Richie Kotzen, Michael Monarch of SteppenWolf, Chris Holmes, and Buckcherry's Josh Todd to name a few.
JLB is a coming together of 3 musicians who have been playing for decades and audiences can't help but stomp their feet and clap their hands to the music of these seasoned professionals.

“Ahh, remember the good old days of concept albums, when words had meaning? Well, here's one for you, well worth a listen or fifty. Mr. Lief presents us with a coherent and cohesive story of a life well lived, and somehow continues on. It's what we do, if we're lucky.”
